About the Inn
The
Milam Home is a non-hosted bed and breakfast giving guests a
feeling of "home
The Parlor The foyer opens into the parlor (picture left) which gives a very open, friendly atmosphere to the room. Along with the dining room, the parlor is the common room here at the Milam Home. Guests can get to know one another here, if desired. And, there is a piano for your enjoyment as well. The television, with cable, or the antique radio, equipped with a cassette, are available for your listening pleasure. For the avid domino or card player, there is a game table available.
Many memories have been made in this room through the sharing of food and fellowship for almost a century. Milam Home serves a Continental breakfast that includes: homemade muffins, fresh fruit, juice, coffee. Our recipes are original and we share them with our guests. Join us and make a memory of your own. Innkeeper Your Innkeeper is Debra Nelson. The Milam Home, formerly known in the community as the Watt's-Warren home, was Debra's childhood home and she is proud of it's heritage. Her desire in restoring and converting this home into a bed and breakfast was motivated by her eagerness to preserve her family's heritage. She loves getting to know her guests and truly spoils them during their stay with the service she provides. Debra lives in the outskirts of Livingston where she enjoys living in a 'barn' that she has decorated in primitive antiques. She also enjoys horseback riding and raising little deer that wander up from time to time to her home. Over the years, Debra has developed knowledge of herbs and how they enhance a healthy lifestyle. Debra and her husband, Allen, have three children.
